What these terms cover

These terms govern your use of thecompanyco.ai, including the data tools available to signed-in users. By creating an account or engaging us, you accept them. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to do so.

Agency engagements

Agency work is defined in a separate written proposal: scope, price and timeline. Everything we build for you in that engagement — the strategy, the assets, the automations — is yours once the engagement is paid in full. That is the point: you keep the engine.

Accounts

You are responsible for what happens under your account and for keeping access to your email secure. One account is for one organisation; don't share credentials. We may suspend an account that is being used to break these terms, and we will tell you why.

Credits and payment

The tools run on credits. You buy credits in packs through Stripe; each pack is a one-time purchase, charged in EUR, and credits are added to your wallet as soon as the payment clears. Credits do not expire while your account is open.

Starting a run reserves credits up front for the volume you requested. When the run finishes we charge only for the results actually delivered and return the difference to your wallet automatically. Ask for 500 leads, get 300, pay for 300.

Credits are not money, cannot be exchanged for cash, and are not transferable between accounts. Purchased credits are non-refundable except where consumer law requires otherwise — but see the next section for what happens when a run fails.

When a run fails

If a run fails, times out, or is aborted at the source, every credit reserved for it is returned automatically. You do not need to ask, and you are never charged for results you did not receive.

What we do not guarantee is a specific number of results, or that any particular business appears in them. Tools depend on third-party sources; coverage, freshness and availability are outside our control. Tools marked beta may change or be withdrawn.

Recent results and stored data

If the same search has run recently, we serve the stored results instead of querying the source again. You get the results you asked for, immediately, and the price is unchanged — results delivered are results charged. Where a search is served this way, the run says so.

Your results stay available in your account for 90 days, so export what you need inside that window. We retain the underlying business records in our own dataset after that, as described in the Privacy Policy.

Using the data you collect

Results can include personal data about real people. You are the controller of that data and you decide what to do with it — which also means the legal responsibility is yours.

You agree to use results lawfully, including under GDPR and the electronic marketing rules that apply where you and your recipients are; to honour opt-outs and deletion requests; and not to resell or republish raw results as a data product. You agree not to use the tools to harass, to build lists targeting individuals rather than businesses, or to circumvent a source's terms. Break this and we may suspend the account without refunding unused credits.

Availability

We aim to keep the service up, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. We may change, pause or retire a tool — where a change materially affects paid credits already in your wallet, we will tell account holders by email first.

Liability

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded. Subject to that, our total liability arising from the tools platform in any 12-month period is limited to the amount you paid us for credits in that period, and we are not liable for lost profits, lost pipeline, or indirect or consequential loss.

Governing law

These terms are governed by Swedish law, and disputes go to the Swedish courts. Questions first, though — hello@thecompanyco.ai.

Changes

We may update these terms. The date above always reflects the current version, and account holders are emailed before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the new terms.
